@kirby@lab.nyanide.com@dushman@den.raccoon.quest even then, if your GPU isn't Nvidia, you can easily play Roblox by passing your GPU through in Windows QEMU VM, while keeping your system safe from privacy invasive stuff Windows does
My biggest pet peeve with Arch Linux is definitely the public image of it and horrible user behaviour in Arch Linux communities compared to peaceful and chill Gentoo communities
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club not necessarily, I'm using the typical stereotype about Arch Linux being ricer's favorite and being the most commonly flexed OS with "I USE ARCH BTW"
average arch linux user :archlinux::archlinux::archlinux::archlinux::archlinux::
"BRO I GOTTA SHOW YOU NEOFETCH AND RICED HYPRLANDWM I HAVE TO SHOW IT TO YOU BECAUSE ARCH LINUX IS FUCKING BEST!!! I FUCKING LOVE ARCH LINUX!!! HOW CAN I POSSIBLY LIVE WITHOUT IT???? MY NEOFETCHES OUTDWARF EVERYONE ELSE, BUT MABYE FOR PAUL ALLEN!!"
5 minutes later
"OH, YOU WANT TO LEARN LINUX???? DO IT MY WAY: GET CONKY, GET DWL, DO IT LENNART POETTERING WAY!"
@NeonPurpleStar@outerheaven.club It has been bad before Musk, but after his arrival, he made it lot more worse; he even gets mocked by his own X's AI, the AI that is still pretty progressive, even on trans rights.
Installing GNU/Linux won't solve your computer woes. It's not going to magically remove the anguish of being a non-technical person in a technical world. Although neckbeards give the impression that GNU/Linux "just works," it's not quite as simple as that. You'll still experience incompatibility and those irritating nuances associated with all forms of desktop computing. What you won't experience, however, is a lack of attention to details with the user in mind. If you're switching to a GNU/Linux solely because you're ticked off with Windows, no desktop environment will please you. However, if you're willing to make a change that will first be bumpy, but will eventually pay off in terms of overall satisfaction and enlightenment while computing, then you're ready for GNU/Linux. You can even use your existing computer without having to buy additional hardware. You have to be willing to change your entire perception of how desktop computing should be.
