@amir @aamir51 Going unlimited for 50% less does seem like a good deal, though we'd encourage you to evaluate that for yourself.

Oh, the verbosity :) That sounds overly verbose & would be worth an issue. The tricky part is that often developers have done such a poor job at coding a page that it's hard to come up with a blanket way of fixing it. But if you can give a couple of examples, we're happy to look into it. At the end of the day, we want to make the experience better for everyone.

How basic and commonly needed a feature it is is probably up for debate (This is the first time in 8 years Basic Training has existed I have seen a complaint that this feature isn't in it - Input Gestures are mentioned though not covered in great detail) - but since you've raised it, I've added it to my list to look at next update!

No there isn't an existing emulated input gesture for enter, or for shift+f7, or for "d" - but you can add any of those if you have a need.

As for whether it should be there already, I believe we go off the manufacturer's documentation for the unit - but feel free to create an issue if it should be there and we've missed it: https://github.com/nvaccess/nvda/issues

@amir Do you mean my encouraging Sarah to share the link to the Microsoft issue when it's their bug? Just because something is noticeable using a screen reader does not make it a screen reader bug... Sometimes we can work around OS bugs, sure, but in the vast majority of cases, it is better - for everyone - if Microsoft fix bugs in Windows and we concentrate on fixing bugs in NVDA (you can't complain we aren't fixing NVDA issues and then complain we're not also fixing WIndows bugs surely?)

@petit_suisse @aral @steven We don't have a formal partnership or anything, but we are certainly happy to work together for user's benefit - just recently I was speaking with a Libre Office developer around functionality they were hoping to implement such that it would work with both NVDA on Windows and Orca on Linux - things like that benefit eveyrone.
