Particularly if you’re in #Europe, I recommend the #LaptopWithLinux if you want to buy a pre-installed #GNU #Linux #Laptop. You can choose various hardware and software, including which #Distro you want to chose. I ordered mine on Thursday and got it yesterday in the #UK from the #Netherlands and it was ready to use. They will even encrypt the #SSD drive with #LUKS, which I wanted. Very nice.

The number of #ElectricBuses is noticeably higher in town now. Apart from being quieter, they seem to be able to accelerate more smoothly too. As a #Cyclist, the biggest thing I’ve noticed is that, when you have to wait behind one at a traffic light junction, you don’t get a lung-full of noxious #DieselFumes and so it makes #cycling even more of a pleasure. I think the bus company is aiming to replace all urban diesel buses by next year. Bring it on.

How do you negate any good that was being done on the #Environment front without even having spent a day in office yet? Not a brilliant start.
