@cisene @skinnylatte BH sponsorship voiced by David McRaney is the main reason I'm baseline skeptical of all his "You Are Not So Smart" podcast episodes (even though I appreciate a lot of the topics he covers).

@evan This is a strong argument! But my instinctual reaction is to ask, "reach it's max potential for what?" What if the network is optimized for delivering something toxic? Balkanization feels like it has benefits.

@inthehands Grim. Is there any conceivable way to harness these forces for good? To use the same strategies that fuel populist demagoguery to offset or negate them? I haven't seen anything hopeful there so far.
