@hypolite the OP can use filters, and people in general can get used to the world being bigger than a single place to stand. i'm not unaware of your perspective i just don't appreciate the implications of this approach.

it's mildly infuriating that people are dismissing the different view of the network experienced by each server as a misfeature. i really like how the fediverse allows literally multiple perspectives to coexist. i like that my view of the thread isn't expected to be the same as the thread author's view.
