I may need a little bit of #Fedihelp.

I’m considering migrating backwards from Firefish to Mastodon. The “why” doesn’t matter. It’s something I’m contemplating for reasons.

I’m currently using #SpaceHost to run my single user Firefish instance, and my plan is to use them (or another) to host my single user Mastodon instance.

Same domain, btw.

I can’t find any info on this reverse migration. But it’s gotta be possible, right?

Lots of chatter on the #Fediverse about Meta’s Threads federating, though the only evidence thus far is some testing from The Zuck himself.

Will it actual happen? No idea.

But if it does, I’ll federate with them on my single-user instance. And I hope your instance does as well. I’m a fan of opening up the social web, even if it at first means a limited path out of or into a walled garden. I think we can start there.

(And if it turns out that it’s filled with dickheads that won’t play nice, paths can be removed.)

@me@mszpro.com Just bought the lifetime purchase! One thing I cannot find: how do I mute a hashtag or word? I’ve clicked “show less (hashtag),” but no luck. I’ve even added the hashtag(s) to my mute list on my server, it I still see them here. And I’d like not to. :)
