@starshine@woem.space more on the business side of things... the moment I went to their website, they immediately gave me a popup asking me not to go away and gave me an "offer" of a free cloud trial, and straight up they're showing off how their proprietary cloud version is sooo much better than the stinky limited open source version.

I remember reading that Gitea was working on implementing federation via ActivityPub, which was a large part of why I decided to go with Codeberg, the expectation that eventually I could move to a self-hosted version of the same software and still federate with the same people. Is developing federation still a priority with the new @forgejo that you launched?
