More and more artists are speaking out about the very real harm AI art is doing to them. And I'm seeing more art students considering a change in careers. Deeply saddened.
Huge win for privacy: Facebook tracking is illegal in Europe!
EU privacy regulators say Facebook and Instagram must not force users to agree to tracking by putting this requirement into their terms. In the future, Facebook must add a clear Yes & No option through which you can accept being tracked - or deny it! #Fight4Privacy ?
@ryo > I don't care about what the victors have to say, I just want to find out what truly happened, especially seeing how things start getting very similar today, but with events taking place in different countries. That's impossible. History is for the winners.
@TerminalAutism@ryo@neo I think good professionals can only exist in the past, where religion is still a thing. I mean, some kind of forces have to inhibit them from doing bad things, and religion does the work (afterlife or so).
@TerminalAutism@neo Good developers exist. The problem isn't that we're all bad, the problem is that most developers shouldn't even be developers in the first place. Also notice how all the good developers who are capable of doing things right all tend to be either dropouts from the indoctrination soystem, or never even started university or college in the first place.
Also depends on who your mentor is, because if a graduate with no programming skills at all joins a company and gets ASSigned to a senior developer who writes more soy than actually functioning code, then of course that graduate will become just as estrogenic as the senior dev is.
@TerminalAutism@xianc78@ryo > This is just more of that human trend that I despise, of always pushing problems to the next generation. Yes I hate this. I don't like the idea of push your kid merely as a tool in this stupid "we vs. they" game. And besides can people really prevent their kids being turned into monkeys?
@lilianabreeder@digdeeper@ryo Same... I gave up TBB when I couldn't remove those things with Spyware Watchdog's guide, since 11.5 (*typo in previous post, 11.5, not 11.1)
@ryo@TerminalAutism > Oh, so you mean that just saying "I'm an *ist" counts as an ideology, but following one doesn't? > My idea on "ideology" is "there's an idea either you or somebody else invented, and other people are blindly following it without any questioning". I can't read other's mind, so I can only judge by whether they claimed that or not - so I can't judge that 100% correct. Only they, themselves can judge. Besides, what we think are not mutually exclusive, either.
> I did that because I later on realized that "ancap", "ancom", "anarchist", and what not are basically labels, and labels enslave you Yes.
@lilianabreeder@digdeeper@ryo I just now tested, request header is still 1.1. Btw, that securedrop thing can be disabled with "about:rulesets". No idea for the firefox.settings.mozilla thing.
