Thanks for the feedback... I do not know which operating system you are using, but I added an option for Linux/Windows and MacOS now.

You can see that there are more options now:

Carpe Diem!

Viel Erfolg!

Carpe Diem!

Today is the second Digital Independence Day.

And I think it is the perfect day to make the step from instant messaging to independent messaging.

Find your personal way to make a change:

Francais: https://imday.de/fr/
Deutsch: https://imday.de/de/

And (last but not least): Following the instruction will also improve the digital sovereignty of your friends.

Good Luck!

@xmpp_tutorials_de

Was gefällt euch besser?

I've seen people promoting Feburary, 1st 2025 as a #globalswitchday to leave questionable services.

If you are thinking of switching your instant messaging app: Please consider switching to #XMPP to enhance your digital sovereignty.

If your friends are using #Android you might have a look at the #xmpp Android app #monocleschat which has a basic sticker functionality. Sticker are sent as pictures and can also be seen on other xmpp apps that do not support stickers (if I remember it correctly).

@monocles released a massively improved version of the #android #xmpp app #monocleschat (#fdroid ).

The input line has been redesigned. Emojis are easier to handle now. It should look more familiar to users of other messengers.
You can set a background for the chatview.
Reactions can be send more easily (message selection).
The usage of the HW AEC has been disabled for the #Fairphone4 leading to a better videocall experience for #FP4 owners.
Thank you @monocles for this release.
