It’s a bit much to be spelling out rules for new folks on here. I’d say this isn’t their first rodeo, social media-wise. While it’s different than other places, it isn’t rocket science. No need to harp on the alt text thing or that you won’t follow them if they don’t have a bio, etc.

It’s interesting to me how many constantly complain about daily life, about where they live, about the people in charge—at work or of the country, about all of the unjustness and unfairness, even so far as to wish death upon certain people.

As much as a peaceful world would be great, it’s not going to happen. I don’t say this as a pessimist, but as a realist. One side will always be against the other. This platform here is no different than the others in the sense that it’s simply another side to all. I see hate spewed from the left just as much as I saw it spewed from the right on other platforms. The memes here are just the opposite from the other side. No difference, it’s just when you have a group of people who agree with you, you tend to feel more comfortable.

To me, both sides are appalling. I’ve backed off posting here lately because of all of the nonsense. It’s disheartening to say the least, it was wishful thinking on my part to think it could truly be different.

The sound of the rain is glorious, a reminder to slow down, which is what I’m doing this morning. If this is how the weekend is going to play out-I’m game. #books #fridayreads
