After 99 kilometers @Stephanie and I completed the #Krijtlandpad, from the main entrance of Maastricht station to the rear entrance of Maastricht station via the Three Country Marker on the Vaalserberg. It was fun, a good workout we saw South Limburg as we’ve never seen before 😊
@rachel I am interested in the Dutch railways, but since 1997 all stations in the Netherlands have had the same unchanged design of station signs, while Belgium has had like 4 or 5 new ones since 2012 😂
Also, Belgiums has more hills to hike on then the Netherlands 🤪
The Flemish bilingual municipality of Voeren/Fourons was already colored in on my map of visited Belgium municipalities, but with only passing through Moelingen/Mouland I thought this wasn't really true. So, today I did the section of GR128 Vlaanderenroute between Eijsden (in the Netherlands) up to the point where it connects again to Krijtlandpad in the Netherlands. Lovely hike with more than 500 meters of climbing and many viewing points along the route towards the bocage landscape, and even some cargo train spotting possibilities.
Great, I started slimming down ideas on a continuation of the #EtoileInternationaal hiking series in France and somehow I ended up with more ideas than before :blobcatgooglynotlikethis:
Dear vegans: be very cautious when buying orange juice in the Netherlands. The largest producer is now adding 0,02% cow milk to some variants to avoid the recently raised sugar taxes 😵💫
