So the latest on my local data center fight: the people behind it have belatedly hired someone to do PR for them and a local lawyer. Suddenly, it has always been a hydroponics research project with the server racks just an alternate method of providing the heat needed for indoor growing during the winter. Also, where before they were just "representatives" of Eco Yotta Inc, now they're the actual owners. And gosh maybe they might just move to the town if it all works out! And nevermind about them being able to purchase a multimillion dollar piece of real estate, they drive a Honda so clearly they're not THAT rich! Oh and also neither of them have any expertise in hydroponics but the wife used to run a day care center, so they're also thinking about starting some kind of childcare/child development tracking app.

Their company website has gone from all AI all the time to under construction to this and it still triggers my workplace safety filters.

I found out that their company registration was done in California, at an address that has about 150 other companies registered as having their headquarters, too.

I finally found an excellent image editor for my android, one that has no AI and respects privacy! And guess what, it's open source. It's called "Image Toolbox" and it's customizable according to which tools you use the most and has an instant "remove metadata" button.
