Beautiful warm day. Out birding nearby at an amazing National Refuge.
Watched a Northern Harrier hunt. Giggled at cute little crabs. Saw ducks and shorebirds. Watched a fox hunt. So beautiful.

While writing that update post, I heard a rumble.
Then hubs hollered to come see.

Our crawl space is 3 feet tall. Of course, some idiot decided to put the water tank and heat pump down there. Cleanest crawl space I've ever seen.

Hubs is tall. He bought a roller thing they use to work under a car, so we can comfortably change the air filter, etc.

He calls it his luge. (Really a skeleton, but luge is more fun to say) He raced around on his belly. Good fun.
Might get another and have races.

I suggested this octopus mailbox, which I love.

Hubs has no sense of humor somedays. No.

When we lived in Italy, neighbors referred to us as "the Americans". We have since used that to remind each other that we're "not from around here" wherever we move.
We anticipate our new neighbors calling us "the Floridians", since it will be obvious by our colorful clothes.
So I tried to find an alligator for the front garden. Our mascot, as it were. I'll probably settle for a cheap plastic version, since the concrete ones are pricier than my budget.

Then we discussed having a Floridian mailbox. Nothing more Floridian than Manatee mailboxes.
Hubs nixed the idea outright.

Son found a pharmacy that had open #CovidVaccine appointments available.
So we're all vaccinated!
Glad we didn't have to wait until next Friday.

While waiting two people were in picking up meds for others who have Covid. Unmasked, of course. They may not have been around their contagious relatives. But the lack of common sense is mind boggling.

My BFF's coworkers attended an HQ in-person brainstorming session a few weeks back. Folks traveled in from all over. Fortunately my friend had family commitments and did not attend. Most of them got #COVID More than 20 people. Sadly, some are very sick. Whatever version is going around isn't just the sniffles and a cough for a few days.
