Einmal schickte ich einen von mir geschriebenen Artikel zu einem deutschen Kollegen, den ich ein bisschen kannte.

OK, bald bekam ich auch einen Artikel von ihm. In dem Begleitsbrief schrieb er u.a.:

"Ich freue mich, Ihnen im Gegenzug ebenfalls eine kleine Broschüre zukommen lassen zu können."

Wow, diese Formulierung vergesse ich nie...

I once (dacades ago) made garlic vodka. It was very good with meals, but then one day I mixed it with Glühwein, by mistake of course, and it was horrible. 😖 The purpose was to get a little stronger Glühwein, but I took the wrong bottle...
We had guests - no one said anything, but their expressions were, hm, interesting.

I'm afraid that from Finland there is no progressive things coming out anymore: we have the most reactionary government you can imagine (with the far-right party). But let's hope a better one after the next election in 2027...

Trivia: North Macedonia is one of the three European countries, where there is no electoral threshold (Sperrklausel auf Deutsch) on parlament elections. The two others are Portugal and Finland. Interesting, in my opinion.

Wunderbar! DDR hat immer interessiert mich sehr. War was besonderes. Zum Glück existiert nicht mehr.

Aber was AfD und BSW dort in östlichen Bundesländern noch zustande bringen können, ist interessant zu sehen. Und schrecklich.
