@silverpill how do you open the post you want to reply to in the new tab? When I click on the small globe icon, it usually takes me to the original poster's homeserver. And since I leave my own server, I am unable to reply.

@silverpill I think I got it. Middle mouse click on the "Reply" button per the post.

@silverpill is it possible that the mitra-ui remembers my scroll position on the home page of my feed? Anytime I reply to a post, and then return to "Home" feed, I have to scroll all the way down to where I was.

@silverpill what is "the algorithm" for my home feed with mitra? Does it have any preference to show the posts coming from other accounts that I have interacted the most? Or is it currently like an RSS feed throwing whatever update comes from whatever accounts I follow?

I have been doing that for years now, kiddo. CalyxOS user of 2 years, here---before that I have used GrapheneOS. Both without microG or any other google play compatibility layers.

I use Element Android with Orbot proxy. It is pretty usable. I get notifications, a-Okay. Nothing to fearmonger about there.

If xmpp is really better than matrix, then you shouldn't be needing these "half-truth" videos to spread its use.
