@WarnerCrocker I finished watching "The American Revolutions" yesterday and read your blog articles. I majored in history in college in the mid 1960s. I saw what "glittered" and what was "myth" but not what was ugly and not highlighted in my history books.

The last 15 minutes of the final episode show how the founders feared the rise of a despot and how the freedom touted, was not included for many.

I fear Project 2025 wants to take us back to that timeframe.

I finished watching "The American Revolution" yesterday. I urge others to do the same. Just watching the last 15 minutes of the final episode will show that the founders feared the rise of a despot and grafter like we have now.

The built in checks and balances. But now, those are not working as well as they should.

One episode emphasized the need for "educated" citizens. That's been eroded in the USA, giving rise to Trump.

@WarnerCrocker Try "blind faith" as one of the reasons. The Christian right has brainstorm its members since they were born.

@WarnerCrocker I don't condone what happened on Jan 6th.

But, I wonder what the newspapers were reporting after the Boston Tea Party in 1773 or the battles of Lexington and Concord in 1775.

What might today's history say if the British had won the revolution?

Winners write history, even if it's not the truth. It will be important for citizens to keep the truth of Jan 6th visible for the next 50-100 years!
