And a really interesting bonus: seller said it had "Mac OS installed" and I was like 🫤 but turns out it has a NeXT program called Executor that runs Macintosh software. Will need to read up on it more!
@mac84tv@ActionRetro have either of y'all done anything with Copland? I just got it running for the first time. But as it famously barely functions, maybe there is nothing entertaining to do with it past that point 😄
First time shopping for affordable HDMI capture boxes, and it's remarkable: none have manuals posted online, and some of these "brands" don't even have a web site. At least I'm thankful for @mac84tv's video assuring me that you *can* get a decent capture box for this price.
@mac84tv on @BigBadBiologist's stream you mentioned finding e-waste on Craigslist. Does that just mean looking for computer/electronics items that are free or very cheap? Curious how I can do the same 😃
@mac84tv thank you! now that you mention it, it makes sense that i can get protection during shipping for loss/damage from the shipper
i think i also had in mind protection for if damage occurs during the recapping that a third party is doing. i am ignorant enough about hardware to be nervous about who knows what might go wrong
Have any of y'all gotten insurance to cover vintage computers before? I'm thinking of trying to get coverage to protect my #TAM before I get it recapped. @mac84tv@ActionRetro have y'all heard of anyone doing such a thing?
