@AimeeMaroux Considering Bluesky is Jack's pet (so far), and he historically hasn't been fond of subscription fees, and more into advertisments and whatnot, well, yeah. My bet would be for Bluesky being sorta open until they reach the numbers they want, then give NSFW and fringe content that may bother potential advertisers the boot after the fact.

Just today I wrote a short piece about why I've left Twitter for Mastodon, going into detail why stuff like blocking whole instances is great and whatnot. And first reply was, literally, "have you tried Bluesky?"
As if yet another siloed platform by the same dude who "gave" us Twitter, and agrees with many of Musks decisions, would be the "solution".
