I think I need to see it in writing that British Blind Sport, UK Showdown and the International Blind Sports Federation will not be banning trans people from playing sport. I have finally found a sport I love playing, which gets me out of the house, an no one is going to take it away from me.
Neat little website here. Put in some coordinates or use your current location, and it'll give you a list of Wikipedia articles about things near to what you entered. you can also search for Wikipedia article titles., although you have to type them in exactly - correct case and everything. https://wikinearby.toolforge.org/
What's this thing for where YouTubers chop off the last syllable of a word? Just seen one say "goodness gracious" but was edited to cut off the ious bit. It just sounds slopp.
I've been playing about with copilot just because it's there, mainly to test it on things I know. The bloody thing's started remembering who I am and bringing up past conversations and whatnot. I really don't like its overly chirpy demeanour bordering on toxic positivity though. Where's the cynical northerner setting?
I'm glad that (as far as I know) my parents don't use chatGPT or any of this. I'm afraid they would take everything it says literally and not question it.
Both me and my wife's PCs are incompatible with Windows 11 and we don't know what to do about it for the best*. I splurged on a quite powerful, completely silent one from Scan in 2017, and there's nothing wrong with it apart from Microsoft says no, and the cpu might not be compatible. Scan sells an upgraded version but I can't afford it now. *No we're not switching to Linux or macOS.
Yesterday on Wikipedia I unleashed the level 3 warning hammer on an editor who was being a bit of a vandal. I thought about using level 4 but it might've been a bit too harsh.
I have my iPhone set to turn on and off do not disturb on a schedule, which my Apple Watch follows. But sometimes my watch doesn't turn it off and I have to do it manually. Any ideas why? Or is it one of those apple bugs that might as well be features?
NVDA's native selection mode is handy when you have Firefox add-ons that do things to selected text. I have one that looks up selected words in Wiktionary that wouldn't work without it. @NVAccess
I had a rubbish night's sleep again. When I eventually went to sleep I dreamt I had got a load of blind people I met at RNC in Hereford into playing showdown, and we were walking to our local club or something. We got lost and ended up in a sewer, and I took charge and asked someone for directions when the rest didn't want to.
