@Remittancegirl @adrinux @CloudyMrs maybe for the rest of the world, but sadly I’ve found the Guardian’s Scottish correspondent Severin Carell’s reporting on Scotland very biased. Never uses a neutral expression when a negative one is available.

@Remittancegirl @adrinux @CloudyMrs I saw *many* examples back in 2013/14. Many. I’m sure if you do a search on Google for practically any article he wrote on Scotland or independence at that time you will find ample evidence. Me? I’ve better uses of my time on a sunny afternoon.

That's actually pretty startling. The UK has a Labour government which won only 34% of the votes cast, whilst 40% didn't vote. A government elected on just over 20% of the electorate.

In 'who'd have thunk it' news, popular AI Chatbots are spreading propaganda and fake news. AI is simply not ready for prime-time. All it's achieving is to make the information on the net less trustworthy.

Whilst everyone else bewails the global warming and ‘hottest spring/summer on record’, the programme for Scotland appears to be January, February, Wet, Wet, May, Sh*te, Sh*te, Sh*te, Indian Summer, Autumn, Winter.

@Roadwarrior29 The chances are slim, but if the Tories are really wiped out and the SNP does better than the doomsayers are predicting, then nothing could be more disruptive to the Westminster status quo, nor as quickly lead to the dissolution of the Union, than the SNP being the official opposition. #ge2024 #IndependenceIsNormal

@chattan @Roadwarrior29 Always had a bit of a gut feeling that the SNP are not going to do as badly as some would like you to believe, and I say that as a non-member.

I reckon the doom of the Tory Party began on 19th September 2014, the day after the Scottish independence vote, when Cameron immediately started the English nationalist push to try to placate the Tory right wing. And they’ve been moving ever rightward since. As ye sow, so shall ye reap. Looking forward to the collapse of the Tory Party, though it’s just making way for a new red-branded one to take its place.

Goodness. The Tory candidate in my constituency has hopped around like some great migrating bird looking for a place to land. Not here, I think.

If Labour knock on your door, or you meet rep at hustings, meetings, whatever, the key question to ask is “Why are you too scared to put the Union Jack on your Scottish placards?” Then post their reply on mastodon.

If you want just one good reason why not to vote either Tory, Labour or LibDem in Scotland, this is it - they all oppose rejoining the EU whilst more than 69% of Scots recognise the astonishing economic and cultural damage that Brexit has done and want to rejoin. #ge2024 #Scotland #IndependenceIsNormal

The corporate media reports negative political issues as UK ones even when devolved Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland do these things differently. This is intentional. It is designed to make you think that devolved policies are always just as bad as Westminster's ones.
