    @Moon Just on the scripting side, can we just not lock it down to one language? It sucks, has sucked and will continue to suck. Something like WebASM but first-class (instead of requiring JS interop) is ideal.

    @eris it's really annoying that post be like that.

    Like, as an extension, if they fail to deliver my package they take it to the nearby post office. Open 9am til 5pm, closed Sat/Sun.

    I uh leave for work at 7, and get home at 6.... and if I don't collect it within a few days they'll send it back... I... uh.... what?

    It's why I had to shift to using their parcel locker service, but anything large will, again, be left in the post office.

    I dream to live somewhere with the intersection of trans acceptance, good post, good public transport and good bicycle infrastructure.

    "alt-fedi" really screams intent tbh, the foghorn amount the whistles if you will. Like, remember when the alt-right started to talk about the "alt-left" like it was a real thing and not just renamed queer anarchists / socialists / antifascists?

    It's also weird how queer anarchists / socialists / antifascists are again the group being smeared here, in the same way.

    (For legal reasons, I'm not accusing dot art of being fascist, just using tactics that facists would be keen to use 🤷♀️)

    Unity just constantly making the relative value of other game engines go up:

    TL;DR unity wants to charge developers everytime a user installs a unity game, also the hobbyist tier Unity+ is gone, also here's some cloud storage to make up for it (?)

    @eris Like, the whole unity-game-look thing is really just a symptom of how it's just a garbage platform to develop on.

    They've got several dozen half implemented replacement for older systems, and the older systems effectively already being deprecated because of how obtuse they are.

    So whatever you want to do, either the new API doesn't work for it because it's not "done" or the old API requires 10 nested workarounds.

    Oh and sometimes they're just like "well we're just going to bin the roadmap". It's like the live service of game engines. Not to mention the IPO chasing 🤦♀️

    If they made it more I'd a joy to work with on the technical level, maybe developers would have more patience to customise the render pipeline because I sure heckin' don't.
