Some social conventions like āthou shalt not murderā are useful. Some social conventions like āthou shalt use a fork to eatā, well, so what?
Thereās a difference between those but some people treat them with this all or nothing thinking.
If you want to be supportive when someone tells you theyāre autistic, and donāt know how to do that:
You could say something like, āWow, thank you so much for trusting me enough to share more about yourself with me. I would like to learn more, would you tell me a little bit more about your experiences or about what that means for you?ā

A practical tip for gaining energy is to find the things that you donāt actually have to do and let them go.
Even if you can only let go of a few of the little ones, that can still free up a little bit of energy.
Small choices made over and over and over in different areas of your life can gradually move you towards making your life better.

Different senses have different needs, sometimes at the same time, and you can address the needs of different senses to make them both more happy.
Instead of "I can't," say this...
As your brain, your nervous system, your body adjust and adapt to small things at a time, it will allow your system to take those on board and really, really accept it as a non-threatening change.
