@Gargron I always wondered if Microsoft would have been better picking Gecko as the engine to power Edge, rather than chromium.

@Gargron @waltmossberg @mike @Mastodon there really needs to be a better solution here than ‘type your URL’. I don’t know what that is - some sort of identity cookie that does a redirect?

It’s much better in ‘apps’, like ivory, when you have it bounce into the app using universal links / extension.

We worry about ppls rights in various states that are restricting them.

We warn, and raise concerns about conferences or travel to those states - rightfully so.

But what about your data that transits, or sits at rest, in those states? How many large DCs are in Texas, Ohio, Iowa, South Carolina, Utah etc? What happens when data access legislation is passed that negatively impacts you, because your redundant copy of data is in one of those states?
