@killyourfm hmm, that's a great question. I don't know if it would deter them from nearby plants, but when we've grown peppers in the past they didn't seem to get bothered by animals.

Zardoz (zardozwrex@c.im)'s status on Wednesday, 13-Mar-2024 00:04:14 JST Zardoz @killyourfm I don't have a ton of advice or experience with herbs but we did grow oregano last year and it seems hard to kill. Probably the biggest thing is just consistency with water and care, because if you get pests or fungus it can very quickly spread and wreck many plants. So try to water around the plants but don't get them wet to avoid mildews/fungus.

Zardoz (zardozwrex@c.im)'s status on Sunday, 21-Jan-2024 23:16:22 JST Zardoz have you met farmers? Most of them hate nature. Wolves, coyotes, beavers, eagles, hawks, big cats...ask farmers how they feel about them. Look at what they've done to their populations.
you've got trees that need to be clear cut for crops or cattle. Water that needs to be redirected for their farms.
They haven't met a problem yet that can't be solved with chemicals, guns, or a big enough tractor.
