@lanodan @stux Eh, a car being stolen is a minor annoyance for my dad. He could buy another one outright for cash without batting an eye.

But for the average person, it would have a huge financial impact.

@stux For all my dad's chest-beating over needing guns, not a single one he owns made a God damned difference when he slept through being robbed. They cleaned out the garage. They came into the house and helped themselves to a bunch of stuff, which they loaded into his brand new SUV that sat in said garage before driving away.

And yet, he was still saying he'd catch the next one who tried. SMH

I can see why people want to leave Mastodon. Since one of my posts has gone viral, I have had people tell me what is wrong with it in so many different ways. I’ve been bitched at for using the wrong hashtags. I’ve been bitched at because I didn’t suggest the use of CW‘s.

I’ve been having to block so many people who want to gatekeep, police, and God knows what else.
