@aaribaud Respectfully, I disagree with this. I think it's more nuanced than that.
Capitalism incentivises perpetual growth, but I don't agree with the idea that companies inherently *cannot* be ethical.
My point is that there's a paradox here: these technologies are enabled by that excessive growth, but to grow to such monolithic extent as Amazon and Google and Microsoft requires unethical behaviour.

This li'l kestrel was described as "a challenge" to photograph, which he immediately demonstrated by zipping off between the trees and perching on the top of a nearby greenhouse :D

Most of my shots of Boomerang in flight were either fairly distant, made him look like a li'l levitating bird-rock-turtle, or were an unfocused mess.

With Boomerang a rapidly dwindling speck in our rear-view mirror, it's time to introduce one of the more characterful birds I had the chance to meet.

Kermit was a relatively recent rescue when I visited, back up to flying weight but still finding his wings, so unfortunately I didn't get to see him fly.
What I did get was a *lot* of S-tier grumbly expressions!

(These birds weren't in the public aviary, but we had a few minutes to walk round a more secluded secondary aviary, home primarily to rescued birds in rehabilitation.
We weren't formally introduced, but I like to think that if we had been, they would've chuckled darkly and invited me to join an arcane covenant.)
