@stupidjim @fsfe It depends on your definition of openwashing, but most probably yes. Personally, I would count this as one of the most prominent examples, and I know many people who are misled into thinking that ChatGPT is actually Free Software just because the company has "open" in its name.

#OpenWashing has become a growing issue in the Free Software community. Many companies claim to be working on “Open Source” or “Free Software” while distributing proprietary software products.

We at the @fsfe would like to learn more about current market practices, and we need your help!
