    @mischievoustomato @tadano my biggest issue with the old t420 was not that it lacked the power for casual games so much as it didn't speak vulkan and its been long enough that low end graphics require that

    anything opengl running on old hardware like that is borrowing the GLES profile from piece of shit third world phones at this point

    kind of a shame with .NET because part of getting apps off bare metal is the ability to shuffle them between power and efficiency processors

    like picking whether you want to run the whole OS off j-cores right now, or if you want to spin up the x86 for a big job

    to stand aside the machine is to hide in your cabins, sip anarchist lattes, dream about a world of no gods or kings while living under the rooves of gods and kings. some small amount of those (shaolin monks maybe) are able to delete the presence of the machine in minor pockets.

    to control the machine comes in ways of wanting to own power, crush your chosen enemies and hear the lamentations of their women (horseshoe commies/chuds.) perhaps in a more uncommon way accepting (wistfully) the machine is inevitable, but it can be appeased and greased and tuned in the ways that cause the least harm (cybernetics)

    anprims wish to destroy the machine by decreasing its rate of change back to zero (kaczynskis), accelerationists and singularity enjoyers by overdriving it to where the rate of change exceeds rate of control and the wheel of samsara flies off the pins
