Remember this important comparison when reading an article about a new breakthrough in carbon sequestration and storage:

Check whether the price per unit of atmospheric carbon stored is better than buying some coal and putting it in a hole.

Pro tip: It never is, and will never be. CSS is a scam. Coal in a hole wins every time. Hell, it STARTS in a hole. Just leave it there! Win/win!

USB-C++ can charge any device at 500 watts and supports data transfer rates of 10Gb/s.

If you plug it in upside down it bricks the devices on either end of the cable and the cable itself. Also your pants fall down.

My #pottery wheel is mostly repaired! Enough to start trying to remember how to do things. The kids have had a go too. Good times

Behold! Some shit cups and a shit bowl! Lots of fun. Making progress. They're exactly the wrong size any shape for anything. I think I'll drill a hole in the bottoms of them before I fire them so at least they can be used as small plant pots.

Any #pottery folk have some advice on fixing the plate of my old pottery wheel? The top is heavily pitted which makes it a rough on my hands sometimes.

A few years back I cleaned it thoroughly, filled the pits with epoxy, and then sanded it smooth. This worked alright but over time chunks of epoxy have come out.

Do these have standard mounting threads? These look to be 3/4" 12 TPI. Could I just get a replacement plate?

Single person instance, so boosts for visibility = ❤️

"I need to check how much free space is on my disks. Is it `df -h` or `du -h`? I'm pretty sure I did `df` by accident last time and that's not what I want. It must be `du`, right? Disk Usage? Sure. Sounds good."

You are not immune to being scammed.

Today I was half a second away from tapping a link in an SMS that was informing me I need to renew my credit card details because my CC was expiring.

My CC IS expiring this month. I updated my CC details on two other services yesterday. Through sheer dumb luck the scammer happened to bait their hook correctly.

    I must not be complacent.

@inthehands I'm trying to work out whether a π-chilada is a pizza or irrational. Wait! It can be both! A pizza with pineapple on it.
