A photo of a circular pottery throwing wheel plate. It is a grey colour. The surface is pitted with craters, especially in a ring about 1/3 out from the centre.

Any #pottery folk have some advice on fixing the plate of my old pottery wheel? The top is heavily pitted which makes it a rough on my hands sometimes.

A few years back I cleaned it thoroughly, filled the pits with epoxy, and then sanded it smooth. This worked alright but over time chunks of epoxy have come out.

Do these have standard mounting threads? These look to be 3/4" 12 TPI. Could I just get a replacement plate?

Single person instance, so boosts for visibility = ❤️
