@goatsarah I'm planning to hold off until September, in the hope a newer vaccine is available. I want a booster before all the students return and before I get on a plane again.

It looks like I'm not going to be eligible for a free covid booster, so how do I go about getting a paid for one in the UK? Anyone done it recently?

@goatsarah you can make pretty oxide colours on it, but a bit wasted down inside an implant.
We do have a student looking at surface effects on implants for ossiointergration but I think they are more concerned with textures than colours.

@goatsarah beavers have so much iron in their teeth they are stained rust red.

@girlonthenet @BethanyBlack My little toe on both feet is trashed. Smashed them so many time and I never seem to learn.

@girlonthenet @BethanyBlack It's worse when furnature you've walked past hundreds of times before just decides to jump out at you and smash your foot. Then go right back to where they were. How do they do that?

I was just charging up a lead-acid battery and it reminded me of when I was a kid and really wanted a soldering iron. I wasn't allowed one, as I was too young (7-ish?).

I'd see people stick welding, and somehow knew the car battery could melt wire (might have seen my grandfather do it?). So I got some solder, some wire and crocodile clips and did the silly obvious thing.

The solder vaporised in a flash spattering me with tiny beads of hot flux and solder.

I didn't try it again.

If I can get everyone at #emf2024 chanting Aurora Aurora Aurora then the sky is duty bound to perform for us tonight isn't it?
