I’m constantly amused by the idea that we will invent AGI and AI will solve all of our problems. We don’t need AGI to solve our problems, even ChatGPT can already tell us obvious solutions to our current problems.

We already have good answers on how to reduce gun violence, infant mortality or climate change. The problem is too many people have a vested interest in the problems being unsolved. It isn’t because we haven’t invented smarter than human AI. When we do, we’ll ignore it too.

…lastly, thanks for your patience. this year has been way too much. i've had almost no time to work on new Feditext features for, well, two beta expirations now, or six months. but i still use it daily and don't particularly want to stop.

As much as I want pixelfed and loops to be great, I'm struggling with the MVP right now.

In pixelfed app on Android it has 2 annoying limits, half of the comment text is cut off, and there is seemingly no good way to browse two important things... Hashtags/ searches and user profile pics. It's either a collage or one, back one...

Also I can't just go into my existing follow list on this acct and import it, and then cooly look at photos, I can't seem to get it to open that list or follow...
