Are there version constraints in that?

Quite simple, really.

Jorge Candeias (jorgecandeias@mastodon.social)'s status on Saturday, 08-Jul-2023 02:26:30 JST Jorge Candeias @feditips Custom emojis are usually very, very bad, though.
People just upload whatever images, not thinking that images small enough to accompany text have to remain legible to be really useful.
Even ordinary emojis can be too cluttered for their size, sometimes. Custom ones take this to the 10th power.

Jorge Candeias (jorgecandeias@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 29-Jun-2023 04:46:40 JST Jorge Candeias @feditips Hang on. Folks tell me the toot thing was to be deprecated. Some folks are embarrassed with the kiddy connotations, apparently. My instance replaced the "toot" button with a "publish" button, although my mobile app still uses toot. What gives?

Sometimes you just open the hot tap and just use it while the water gets warmer and warmer, shifting to the cold tap if it gets too hot.
If hot water is too quick to come, you just use the cold tap. Or cup cold water in your hands and add quick spashes of hot water to it until it's warm enough.

Jorge Candeias (jorgecandeias@mastodon.social)'s status on Thursday, 26-Jan-2023 07:12:41 JST Jorge Candeias @quinn I generically agree, but there's one word that changes a lot, and I mean a LOT: annexation.
That puts this in a whole other level, comparable only to the invasion of Chekoslovakia and later Poland by the Nazis. It's a direct attack against the whole edifice of international law built since WWII.
Nobody in the west did that.

(Not to mention the frequency of it backfiring)

That in itself is a crime against humanity that should lead to the Hague.

I'm a bit confused with one thing, though: how does that relate to the 7 million accounts counted by @mastodonusercount ?
Is it just that there are 5 million inactive accounts, or is there more to it than that?

It's still much better than the early days in Twitter, with all those flying whales.
We can wait.
