@tchambers @BlackAzizAnansi @trumpet The idea is to lower the restriction once we work out the safest way to do so that protects users who choose to block. Authorised Fetch might be part of that solution.

@BlackAzizAnansi See the post from the @trumpet account last night, we’re blocking Threads as
a precautionary measure (we did this months ago) while we make sure that a) their volume doesn’t start knocking servers offline and b) they can adequately moderate their user base. If those concerns are unfounded then we’ll take steps to remove the block ☺️

@wiredfire Just to be clear, have the cats been rescued or do the cats do the rescuing?

@wiredfire While it’s slightly disappointing that it’s not a team of cats rescuing people from danger I’ve had a think about it and I’m happy that’s well within our rules.
