Is anybody else having issues with #Metatext? Every time I open it, I get a blank screen for about 5-10 seconds and then it crashes. Never displays anything.
@Gargron When I try and reset the password, it doesn’t send the reset email. It says it has but nothing appears. Thankfully I’m already logged in via the official app and the website through my phone, but I want to reset the password I seem to have misremembered so I can try out the desktop experience and play with other apps. Somebody else commented they’d run into the same issue. Let me know if you want me to send you the email address associated with the account. And thanks!
@Yukari Nope, that place closed down about 4 years ago. It’s the Moss Street Farmer’s market. https://www.mossstreetmarket.com The tamale seller only hits the mark is and has no web site, just a Facebook page. It’s Tamales Don Carlos.
So I went to the farmers market near my place for the first time, & met up with my friends D & S to try out the wee tamale place that only sells at the markets. I’ve never had tamales before, so I was quite excited. Of course we got there just as he was opening, & we had to wait for the tamales to steam, so we checked out the rest of the market. Overpriced organics for the most part. Finally the tamales were ready & friends, they were delicious. I bought some frozen for steaming at home. Happy!
@Yukari@daihard No worries whatsoever. I’m always impressed by anyone managing to learn such a messy language later on in life. Meanwhile the vast majority of people in Canada only speak one language. It’s frankly a bit embarrassing. :) I just figured it was something I wasn’t aware of about chickens at first until I searched for “chickens cartridge” on DuckDuckGo and it suggested cartilage that I could see the similarities in the words.
@daihard@Yukari Ok now I admit I’m really confused. You’ve both found cartridges in food you’ve made yourselves? What do you mean by cartridges? I think of it as a small box-like container meant to be inserted into a larger mechanism, frequently containing a consumable material which is used up and then reloaded by inserting a new cartridge eg. guns, printers, pens all use cartridges.
@Yukari Ever since I stopped working in the not-for-profit sector, I made a point of doing some kind of volunteer work (frequently on support of political campaigns or local orgs) instead. It feels good to know you’re making a positive impact (I mean, presumably positive). Right now I’m doing phone bank and fundraising with the federal NDP and about to start doing shifts at my local community activity centre.
