I don't think I actually super appreciate when I ask someone to login 15-30 minutes prior to the start time of something and they still don't show up with less than 7 minutes to start. It's super disrespectful. They do it all the time, so I never know if there is an issue or not and if I need to try to track them down. But if something doesn't work right, then we need to spend time (wasting the student's time that they paid for) to fix it. It's largely frustrating. Just don't. Follow direction.

Looks like COVID is taking the life of another family member. My aunt who has multiple health issues is in the hospital with COVID. She's on a ventilator and her organs are shutting down. So she won't be with us for much longer. It's only Tuesday and it's already been a very hard week for my family...

What a match that was! So happy for Imane Khelif taking the gold today!

That Women's Boxing 66kg award ceremony was just so happy! Just a joy to watch. No poor sportsmanship anywhere. Just some really happy ladies to be standing on the Olympic stage supporting each other and celebrating together.

I'm cheering for Imane Khelif in her boxing match today. I really hope she wins, that means she'd get the Olympic gold in the face of all the adversity and hate she had received. But on the other hand, if she does win, people are going to be even more cruel to her. It's not a great situation to be in.

I can't stand injustice and that is what is being done to her. She's boxed for a long time and no one every said anything before. I can't imagine having the hate of the world upon me. :(

@FlashMobOfOne I guess it totally makes sense! I just never really thought about it. But I've also enjoyed fighting games since I was a kid, so maybe it just didn't seem strange to me.

Now, I'd love to be able to do what you do, but my fear of falling has held me back from really doing any skating much at all in recent years. I can fall on a mat now, but on skates, yikes!

I practice Kickboxing which is a martial art. Now maybe I'm missing something here because I also practice Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate which is very traditional, but aren't people in martial arts supposed to be respectful? Some of these women going up against Imane Khelif and Yu-ting Lin are not being very respectful. And yet they are being shown respect in return. It's sad to see.

I've also recently learned quite a bit of people don't like boxing, kickboxing, sparring at at all because they see it as super violent. I never actually really saw it that way? And in my last spar I got hit so many times in the head because I totally was sucking at blocking. (I do find high school boys to be harder opponents that women my own age lol!) But to me & how we spar in my dojo, it's not about whaling on someone. We hit hard, but it's not about that. It's about skill, combinations, etc

Today will be my first workday on ADHD medication since getting diagnosed with ADHD-C on Friday. Saturday and Sunday went really well, but I feel like today will be the real test. I have to cover customer service for 3 hours this afternoon which I HATE, so we'll see, but fingers crossed!

Okay, so as I mentioned earlier, I just got diagnosed with combination type ADHD. I've done a lot of research and have read some books regarding adults with ADHD, but I'd love to reach out to the community here with any advice or recommendations y'all have. I tend to over-research everything and don't necessarily know where to start on what might help best. I will start stimulant medication tomorrow... #AdultADHD #ADHD

@FlashMobOfOne That's a great idea! I know my husband and I have been donating things too. Mostly clothes. I'm a little bit afraid of my ability to keep this up, but I'm using an app right now that breaks the entire house into zones and tasks for each room in a zone over a handful of days and so far it's helping me to keep on track.

I've done so much cleaning and organizing these past few weeks. Just a little at a time because I think I have task paralysis. I get so overwhelmed and think it's going to take so long and that I'm going to hate it so I just don't do it. I don't like cleaning, but I hate seeing a mess so I tried something different. I forgot to take a lot of before pics but got all the after pics. Here's one where I remembered. This is one of my dressers. (It's old 1960s and needs to be repainted!)
