What you are observing is most likely that the Firefox package failed to build. That’s why it is not present in the package repository. I’m sure Firefox maintainers are working on that and your browser will be back there in the repository again soon.
For now, you could pkg lock firefox so that it is not blown away by #pkg upgrade.
