I hadn't seen the good news about Ecuador. They won the referendum about stopping fossil fuels!

I'd like to follow more people to stay updated about world events. Eg last week there were floods at a German airport.

Just -being- on mastodon has made me realise so much shit. Things I kinda knew but only on a surface level. Like "if you're not paying, you're the product" - things. I knew that about facebook, but I didn't -feel- it.

The way mastodon works, no ads, no algorithm, real people, with human admins, is just so so different from anything else on the internet right now. It's made me -feel- things.

It's made me appreciate Wikipedia more. I've discovered f-droid. I'm considering moving away from other apps of the google-android system.

Y'ALL. I'm considering moving away from google! They do NOT want that. Can you understand with every fibre of your being that they don't want us to discover alternatives. None of them! They want us to think there is no alternative and they want mastodon to fail. They NEED mastodon to fail.

I tried to keep track of servers that are specifically for POC.
(I don't have any personal experience with any of them.)
