So schema would be: quick, rough flat print to check scale, then long vertical print for quality.

Time consuming but I suspect much better.

The gun probably needs to be done as a vertical print, but that dictates the print time and would take it from 2hrs to some shit like 6-8, and I want to learn more firsf before committing to long prints.

Also had to check the scale, etc.

Notes:
* I scaled up the tank holder by 7% because it was a smidge loose on both the mounting peg and the wedges that hold the tanks when I printed them at 1:1 yesterday - this time they ended up much better
* The gun barrel is a bit tragic as it had heavy supports (I used heavy on everything today) and they were hard to pull off and the barrel bent a smidge
* The other side of the gun body is... Awful, as that was the supported side.

Here's today's #3dprinting stuff. Some more #30MinuteMissions compatible backpacks and a gun, as well as two macross figures.

Did the backpack/wings for the pimk gunpla and... Two fucking hours for it.

'This is overarticulated, mate', is a legitimate thing I have muttered tonight.

Scooped up a pair of #30MinuteMissions kits at a hobby store on my way home.

But now it's 9:30pm, and I'm trying to decide if I'm too tired to finish off that pink gundam kit I got mostly done the other night.

There are many options for this.

Many solutions.

All of them better than watching three people count the same six items and debate whether they had the right count.

Some of you may have heard me grumble that true pain is the frustration of having to watch someone do something badly when you do it very well.

Tonight, I had to watch 3 people do ordering for a shop that had maybe 60 product lines and a grand total of perhaps 500 items in total.

It was... oof.

Starting to think that the more 'expert' #gunpla models are mostly just a mess of articulation that makes them increasingly flimsy and less useful other than as 'put it in a glass cube and never touch it, or it'll fall apart'.
