@GTK if you don't communicate, people will not be able to tell apart what's what. You have to battle misinformation, upfront when possible. And people have warned you about this too! You're lucky there are media outlets who responsibly explained the nuance for you.

You don't have to be a fortune teller to tell that many non-programmers would misinterpret the news out of context, and yet you left the context buried in a commit message. Get off the high horse.

@BrodieOnLinux the classic. I did get a lot of those to my email some time ago. But all I get now is... Ads about someone's "proprietary SQL compiler and automatic knowledge graph technology (+ LLM stack)" product, and Mozilla begging for money. Alright, Mozilla also sends some AI bullshit as well.

@lowqualityfacts not to be a dick or anything, but purely to inform you — I think I'm gonna unfollow you, because the ads get annoying, and I don't find them funny one bit, or even remotely similar to the humor in regular posts. @ebassi @brainblasted that's just victim blaming on your part. A11y in GNOME is so bad rn, that even I have issues with plain keyboard navigation. When implementing things, I have to wait for the Design team to approve, yet there's no approval based on accessibility. There is nothing wrong with that someone is so mad at this bs that they go too far and make things up. It's a natural consequence of rage, and you can't expect it not to happen. If you don't want it to happen — solve the problem.
