People who live in a polished world of normalized cruelty, extreme racism, oppression/erasure of nonbinary sexuality - with a permanent porcelain smile.

@evan Catching your sarcasm - images have been for a long time one of the ways to distinguish fact from fiction.

We have just erased the trustworthiness of images as representing reality, at scale. And of video.

The main purpose of propaganda is to make it impossible to believe anything. This, nothing can be really proven, and any reality can be easily created by manipulating perception.

So yes, a bit of a big deal, at scale.

@inthehands Watching Blade Runner 20 years later I cringed at the kiss scene as it was quite forceful. Showed me how *my* sensibilities have changed, which is a good thing.

Still an amazing film, by any measure.
