@gnitro I stayed at the DC Moxy in 2021. It's a sleek, modern hotel, very nice, slightly cheaper than the con hotels. Easy walking distance but further away, no hot breakfast and the nearest McD's was closed (staffing shortage I guess) so I had to walk to one on the other side of the White House! Fun little adventure. Anyway, my hotel this year serves hot breakfast and I'm all about that.

@gnitro In my convention downtime after hours I tend to....watch anime on my iPad in my hotel room. My hotel's closer to WEW this year so I might go to more 18+ late night panels since I'm just across the street and not a few blocks away like in 2021.

@kaia sorry to hear. I had that problem once and got a softer seat with gel cushioning, but even that has its limitations I guess.

Gen Xer who loves anime, manga, especially SciFi, Fantasy & RomComs; sort of a Benjamin Button type of anime fan...really got into anime past the "otaku expiration date" and still going strong this many years later.IRL, my day job, I'm an Interlibrary Loan librarian. My job title says Paraprofessional but I have an ALA accredited MLS so I'm a underemployed librarian.I was diagnosed ASD at age 39 in 2010 and it makes the past make a lot more sense; I continue to grow and evolve in my understanding of my autistic self and relating to other neurodiverse folks.I'm a middle aged guy, divorced, boring CIS-Het but try to be a good ally.
