@juliank Since August 2016 it has been your choice whether to rely on your ISP's modem/router or not. I switched on day 1 and never regretted it.

Also, I disagree with the statement that you'd be on your own when having connectivity issues. Sure, ISP support people may tell you it's your fault but let's be frank: it's almost never the router and they know it ;)

As said, separate modems would be cool. At least, used Fritzboxes are not that expensive.

@juliank @llas @fsfe @lexelas @kirschner It would be great if there were more devices which you can use as modems in coax connections. However, especially for cable customers in Germany, Router Freedom has been a big win because they can at least use the available AVM devices from the market instead of relying on terribly managed, locked-down ISP devices.

@ubahnverleih Geht mir auch so. Ich habe das mal Anno 2014 gemacht, da hat es IIRC einen Tag gedauert.

@foss_events @tinoeberl Well, it takes the link you share in your post. This does not necessarily have to be the permalink you provide in og:url, if you think about tracking links etc.

@tinoeberl @foss_events I think the same. The URL has to be the permalink of the URL you share. Probably, things are cached based on this URL.

@aitac Ich wollte ein separates Konto für das gemeinsame Sparen. Initial dachte ich an ein Gemeinschafts-Depot, aber das hat aufgrund komischer Fehler nicht funktioniert. Bei C24 gibt es technisch gesehen auch kein Gemeinschafts-Tagesgeld, aber wir sind eh gemeinsam veranlagt. Und die Zinsen dort sind minimal höher. Aber wie gesagt, gäbe es ein gemeinsames Tagesgeld bei der DKB, hätte ich nichts bei C24 eröffnet.

@aitac Die Giro kostet bei der DKB auch 1€ pro Jahr seit 1-2 Jahren. Aber dass Konditionen schlechter werden, ist eigentlich in der Branche normal bei den niedrigen Zinsen und der Konkurrenz. Ich habe mich langsam damit abgefunden...

@aitac Das Kinderkonto sollte angeblich Mitte November kommen... Nach meinen Beobachtungen und nach r/finanzen hat sich die DKB einerseits mit dem neuen Backend ziemlich überfordert, da laufen immer noch zwei Systeme parallel, was solche neuen Funktionen vermutlich verkompliziert. Außerdem geht der Bank angeblich viel Kapital flöten, vermutlich weil Kunden für höhere Zinsen woanders hin sind. Ich hoffe, sie setzen die richtigen Prios, andere Banken "leiden" ja auch.

@aitac Ich würde trotzdem nie ganz zu c24 wechseln. Kein Depot, keine Kinderkonten, und das Geschäftsmodell mit der Vertragserkennung etc ist mir zu perfide. Außerdem ist fraglich, wie lange die guten Konditionen anhalten, die setzen stark auf Wachstum.

@aitac Klar, gerne. Ich mag die DKB an sich sehr gerne und bin mit der ganzen Familie, Tagesgeld und Depot dort. Allerdings nerven mich einige Kleinigkeiten, u.a. dass sie seit Monaten kein Kinderkonto mehr anbieten, bei der Eröffnung des Gemeinschafts-Depots gab es krasse Bugs und kaum Support, und die UI ist seit dem Relaunch immer noch nicht ganz fertig. Wegen der fehlenden Möglichkeit eines gemeinsamen Kontos mit Zinsen habe ich eines bei C24 eröffnet...
