@morph Not sure what is worse: I’m still sitting in bed with my dog. But coffee is done so I need to push myself onto the floor. Overdid it yesterday abs today I’m kind of tired. But I have work to do. Again. Always. 😆
@morph You can say that again. I’m behind. Overcommitted. Overworked. I do my best. Things/Life happens. I get behind. I kick myself. The last part sends me into anxiety and depression so often. I try to sleep it off. It is indeed so complicated
Good morning from #Pasadena. A beautiful sunny morning here with a comfortable high predicted of 21°C (70°F.)
Been to the dog park with Moses, picked all the fallen oranges off the ground, and now working on the mantle, a very long overdue project. #OverdueProjects are the story of my life; literally. How about you? I think it’s a problem a number of #ActuallyAutistic folks have. Not because we’re not good at projects, but because the world is a very disruptive place not well suited to our needs in order to be productive imo
#FellOffTheWagon#Diet wise around Christmas. It started with 2 gifts of home made cookies from neighborhood friends. It’s very hard to just have one when it comes to sweets. So today I’m trying to resume a better diet. Didn’t eat too much this morning. Resisted nuts (even though they’re good to avoid glucose spikes) and will put tempting but necessary snacks in the car instead of where I can easily reach for them as the evening progresses and dinner is over…
Today is the 37th anniversary of when I met my husband at a #GCDC (Gay Community Dance Committee) New Year’s Eve dance where we were volunteering as security staff for our respective gay charities at the time.
Happy New Year 🎊 everyone. Welcome 2025. Don’t worry. Be happy 😃
I’m thankful for all my friends and family who stuck with me over the years despite the fact I don’t always keep in touch. So I really appreciate people who do.
I get so involved in my projects, pets, gardening that time flies and people who easily get flustered by friends who don’t keep in touch regularly normally get flustered with me and eventually dump me.
Same with those who feel insulted if I don’t want to see them as often as they’d like to see me. Friends of mine have to understand that meeting in person or even speaking over the phone is a very intensive activity for me as an #ActuallyAustistic person. My needing solitude doesn’t mean I do not love people. I do but in very small doses.
Pic: #MosesTheServiceDog & I arriving at the dog park earlier. Moses was in no mood for a selfie. All he wanted to do was get out of the car and into the park to see his friends.
Good morning from #Pasadena. As my now retired psychiatrist used to say, today is a good day. And as my father used to say “Arrêtez d’avoir peur et croyez au succès” (Stop being scared and believe in success.) My life was good, though tough, thanks to such people guiding me with positive thinking. I am a very negative person when I let myself go.
Off to start the day. My weight is great. My scale info shows so much improvements. My glucose is doing well despite a bad eating day yesterday but where I ate stuff that is ok, just unbalanced. Me metabolic age dropped 1 year! Wow! 🤩
Time for Moses to head for the park, once I eat a little something. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
You all have a great day and “arrêtez d’avoir peur et croyez au succès”
If you’re thinking of emigrating, understanding what immigration is like is absolutely critical so you don’t waste time and money on an ordeal that could be set up for failure. This post offers a window on what can be involved even with people who have the best chances. https://caneandable.social/@Bruce_Toews/113444795186655035
One of my neighbors with 2 small children always decorated her house for holidays. And I particularly love these 6 witches dancing around their fire and cauldron. #Halloween
Good morning fr #Pasadena. 🌤️ & 22°c (72°F) today so another perfect day for me, especially that I have no hard commitments (appointments, etc. )👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
Just had coffee & will be heading to the dog part shortly. Then maybe a bit of gardening. This week was quite busy so I kind of lost my bearings… Does that happen to you?
Pic: #OrangeSeason will soon be upon us along with 🎅🏻 With the cold nights, oranges are finally changing color. There are still 6 to 10 weeks before these will be ready though.
Good morning fr #Pasadena. A slower day today hopefully. Garden is all watered so I will try to finish my fence plans/quote today so I can discuss it with my neighbor this weekend.
Yesterday, I decided to try the #oranges from what I call my OJ tree which grows the juiciest, seeded, very low-pulp oranges. Still very tart, but nonetheless delicious. Each orange yields 1/2 cup atm. It’s still very early for that tree. All my other varieties are still green because we haven’t had a lot of cold yet. Most oranges should be ripe within 2 months but my OJ variety can sometime make me wait several more months for the sweetest juice.
The weekend is also here so I’m wishing everyone a great 2 days off. And if you’re in Canada/US don’t forget to switch back to #DST at 2am Sunday!! 🙄
My HB left these to finish for him as he went out to an appointment yesterday. I did pretty well considering I did not have the time #HomeBaking#freshBread#CookingFromScratch
