In most pictures of RFK Jr., I feel like I'm seeing a crumpled brown paper bag that somehow acquired sentience.

But the other brand of McCandidate™ from the other electoral fast food chain is laced with rat poison.

So, you might as well tuck a napkin in your shirt collor and take a bite of unhealthy mediocrity.

This electoral sandwich will take longer to kill you than the competitor's.

@FlashMobOfOne Oh, I think many Dems and their public toadies demonstrated their love of hot police state action with their behaviors around the anti-war protests this past spring.

They love a good bout of fascism too. I think you're right.

It really does seem like the Dems offer the same mass marketed McCandidate™ during every presidential election.

The packaging changes from time to time--a different sex or a different pigmentation of skin.

And people are understandably excited about what looks like a new product from the outside.

But it's the same processed, unhealthy ingredients as one might find in previous McCandidates™.

Because their corporate manufacturers like high profits on products made with low cost ingredients.

When I see ostensibly liberal supporters of Israel's racist actions start to promote articles from right wing political magazines, I'm not really surprised.

That's a shoe that I've been expecting to see drop.

Support of racism in any form (and other forms of bigotry) tends to pull people rightward.

Sadly, humans have a special gift for behaving like assholes.

So, this sort of thing happens as a recurring pattern.

Wouldn't it be nice if we stopped doing this bullshit?

If a country populated by oppressed people takes that approach?

Still an asshole. A whole lot of assholes.

As a general rule, abusing members of another oppressed group in the hope that you can escape your own oppression by raising your personal status to the power of an oppressor, is pretty good evidence that you're an asshole.

It would seem that a whole lot of countries are trying hard to be king asshole in a whole lot of ways.

Doesn't matter if it's a country that is predominantly populated by traditionally oppressed people or some other country like the UK or the u.s.a.

"Asshole" is the gold standard of behavior promoted by millennia of patriarchy and other entwined dominance oriented systems.

It's kind of a thing.

Extra-Credit Bonus Item

Toxic masculinity has a habit of promoting the idea that:

1) Being an asshole is a male birth right.

2) You can raise your status in the world by being an asshole toward others.

3) It's best to just be an asshole by default so that the other assholes don't bother you.

4) You should probably turn all of this into a way of running a country and doing international relations.

These ideas are kind of contagious.

Global even.

I watched The Social Network (2010) for the first time in many years.

I don't know how much of the movie reflects real events from Facebook's (Meta's) early day, but it sure does portray Zuckerberg in a way that paints him as an arrogant, misogynist, toxic douche bag.

Given the actions of that company across the past decade, I'm betting they got the spirit of the man right if not the facts.

There are also cis chasers who seek out trans men, btw. I'm not familiar with that side of things but they do exist.

A "chaser," by the way, is a cis person (usually a man) who specifically seeks out trans women for sexual encounters and/or sexual attention. The person usually has views and sexual tastes that objectify trans women in ways that are transphobic/cissexist, highly exploitative, and generally disrespectful toward her identity as a woman.

(For further context, this account had only one post on it when the request was made. It was a picture of a female model photographed by the account owner with a promise to post more pictures in the future. That vibed wrong too. So, the "orgasms" comment was the final straw. Ick. No. This person is likely problematic.)
