@Polychrome I always thought that Bond is simply a mcguffin for all the things that happen around him and to him.

In almost any 007 movie the simplest way to deal with Bond is to let him drink martinis and chase bondgirls somewhere far from the actual place where you’re trying to conquer or destroy the world.

He’s not so smart to understand that something’s happening, until Moneypenny calls him.
