speaking of weird dreams, i dreamt last night that I could glide. not fly, but glide. like a sugar glider or a squirrel suit or something. was pretty cool not gonna lie. everyone was walking down this hill and my knees hurt so i was like catchya folks and just fucking leapt for it.
hahahah the fucking sales dude in the office who's been a constant pain in my ass low key harassing me for the last two years didn't resign, he actually got sacked by the new owners like a month and a half after the acquisition. RIP bozo.
the head of hr was in this week and I went and had a chat to her because fucknuts sounded like he was about to set me up for some bullshit like he tried with previous managers and executives (who all told him to fuck off lol) and she was like 'yeaaaaah he's not going to be a problem going forward'
bought rollers, gonna set them up with my road bike in my bedroom where I can suffer the indignity of being fat and unfit in privacy. once i at least get comfortable riding again I can leave the house lmaooooo
I fucking hate modern linux. Fuck netplan. Fuck systemd. Fuck resolved. Fuck wayland. Fuck snaps. Fuck flatpaks and fuck appimages. Also fuck apparmor. NetworkManager you're on thin fucking ice after today but you're allowed to stay.
@shibao@misskey.bubbletea.dev i'm grafing more today as well, building telemetry for another customer so we can start to get a handle on some user experience complaints
omfg, teams call after teams call after teams call just SEND A FUCKING EMAIL. I'm WFH so I can fucking work on priority shit for the group director without being distracted, that doesn't mean I'm free for you to fucking badger every five minutes.
i can't complain too much, these guys are waaaaay better organized than any other company I've worked for, just a fucking pain in the ass dealing with the transition period considering I'm the owner of most of the core systems for the IT side of the business lmaooo
anyway, back to spending all day in zabbix and grafana
apparently my zabbix instance isn't 'small' anymore... and to think, this number is about to grow an absolute fuckload very shortly as I deploy monitoring to a vmware vcenter instance with close to five hundred VM's in it, with hundreds active at any one time (VDI).
Lets see if zabbix, or the proxy, eats shit and dies.
