It fascinates me that stories spin different ways depending on who is involved.

Ex 1: Hillary Clinton calling people on the other side deplorable was in the news for a while as disrespectful and just awful - but Donald Trump calling people on the other side vermin was barely noticed.

Ex 2: Apple taking 30% from people selling on their platform has been in my newsfeed many times a week for years and yet Amazon takes 70% of books I sell for more than $10 and I hear nothing about that.

@inthehands there are those of us in between who take reasonable precautions (masking and limiting being around crowds indoors).

@inthehands @schwa often that’s true but I find standing meetings are often an issue. We should meet because there’s a reason to meet - not because it’s Tuesday at 9.

@schwa I found this in groups I worked with in person. We'd stand up from a 10 am meeting and most of us would move to another conference room for our 11 am meeting

There is a growing perception that Swift is becoming complicated. I think part of this is because evolution proposals don't clearly state "You don't need to worry about this unless..."

In other words, the proposals are necessary and solve real issues - but often they aren't issues that most of us need to worry about.

Often (not always) if the proposal addresses a problem we have, then we understand the need for the proposal and why we want to dig in.
