    My Vipassana meditation is obviously not stopping my compulsion to OCD check the social web and my RSS feed for the latest details about unfolding current events. It’s not stopping my mind from racing on the subject more often than I’d like too. It is definitely keeping me from freaking out about it though. It’s letting me channel the frenetic activity I haven’t gotten under control into FU energy and find ways to help fight it. #meditation #uspoli

    Elon Musk being allowed to have his private sector henchmen illegally infiltrate all elements of the Execute Branch and do blatantly illegal things is just the extension of the PayPal Mafia ethos that got us here: "laws are for losers" and "what's mine is mine and what's yours is mine." Letting them operate like this with impunity for 25 years taught them they can get away with it. They *have* gotten away with it to date.     TIL that The National Archives has a crowd sourcing component for transcribing old records. It's told under the "we don't learn cursive any longer" banner but it's a difficult task for people proficient in cursive as well. I think I'll volunteer for this. #history
