    At least you can use bloatfe for js-free pleroma at least.

    I noticed the thing that takes the longest on this sparc is logging in. I'm sure being on a CPU from 2003-4 doesn't help.

    @natalie @flaky @lamp Also if you're using Elixir 14 with Erlang 24/25, this is very important, but you want the latest Pleroma from git. Do not use the release, it's old and will break while compiling.

    I should also finally assemble this server rack I have in my basement. I have the bags of screws somewhere around my house and in the backseat of my car possibly.

    I should assemble it and rack some weird servers.

    I had issues hosting it on OpenBSD for different reasons, when I tried to load the website up nothing would show up. Debian SPARC worked, but the issue is I had to force kernel 4.19 because of a specific bug affecting Linux on the UltraSPARC III and T1 series CPUs (not t2+ or i/ii).

    Speaking of that, I think what would be absolute hell to try to run Pleroma on would be this Itanium box I have. It's probably the worst idea ever.

    Somehow it's not unbearably slow on mine tbh.

    okay probably gonna take the server down in 20 or so minutes to pop some more RAM in. first I fixed the issue with the kernel that's fucked loading instead though.

    @lamp @flaky I'm running the latest Pleroma on here but it was acting jank since I tried to run gnusocial on OpenBSD and that didn't even federate with shit for some reason lmao.

    I'm probably going to spend later on experimenting with why Pleroma on OBSD is breaking, and how jank/non-jank GNU Social is these days in 2022.
